PTCL RAZAKAAR PROGRAMME PTCL
RAZAKAAR
gets nationwide recognition
The company’s in-house volunteer force started with
400 volunteers in June 2017 and is currently 650
Razakaars strong with six initiatives under its belt. The
PTCL Razakaar programme was initiated with the aim
to engage employees in philanthropic activities that
add value to their lives beyond the scope of their job.
Winner of PTCL’s Annual Presidential Business
Excellence Award in Cultural Excellence for the Blood
Donation Drive in 2017, the programme was able to
make a mark for itself soon after its launch in the
organisation.
The success of the programme can be gauged from
the ripples it has created within the company and
across community groups nationwide. Razakaars
were able to reach 15,684 beneficiaries just last year
through a myriad of initiatives, which goes to show
that The PTCL Razakaar Programme is now strongly
embedded in the fabric of the company, allowing
PTCL to show its stakeholders and the society that it
truly cares. Here is a recap of the year 2018.
GREEN EXCHANGE
With rising deforestation in the world and display of early signs of
global warming, our employees expressed the need to invest time
and money on tackling the issue at hand through custom-designed
CSR interventions. Whilst PTCL made a significant contribution by
planting 200,000 Mangroves in the Lasbela District of Balochistan in
collaboration with the WWF, PTCL Razakaars revamped the lawns of
20 PTCL Exchanges/Offices nationwide. The initiative ran for the
entire month of October and resulted in 20 PTCL Razakaar uniquely
designed lawns adorned with beautiful plants, trees, painted walls
and decorative features designed on the theme of PTCL’s recently
launched corporate values.
CHRISTMAS WITH PTCL
Christmas is a special occasion for a significant population of our
country. It is a time when we rejoice and celebrate. PTCL Razakaars
decided to do something special for their Christian colleagues by
distributing hand-packed gifts amidst fun ceremonies. Although
these special gifts reached 98 persons at various PTCL offices, the
spirit of brotherhood and harmony reached far and wide.
