Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited “PMCL/Ufone/We/us/Our” provides the MyRewards platform (“My Rewards”). My Rewards controls the information we collect for applicable laws and regulatory requirements directed by the “Authority” (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority – PTA or any other regulatory body as per laws in Pakistan).

PTML is committed to providing quality services to you and this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.

Automatically Collected Information

Personal Information includes any information that directly and/or indirectly and/or in combination with other information, allows identification of an individual or group of individuals. This includes information about individuals even if no names or other contact details are collected. For example, information relating to an IP address, device or an online identifier may itself be Personal Information even with no direct link to a name or contact.

Information Collection and Use

Upon subscribing to My Rewards and usage we collect your personal information such as sign-up information, your device and its technical specification, usage history, associated server logs, your transaction history, traffic data, location, and internet data, etc. (“Personal Information”). This is set out below in detail as well:

Sign-up information: We collect the information you provide when you sign up for a My Rewards account. This includes information such as your name, phone number, date of birth, email address, profile picture, and password required by us to authenticate your identity. When signing up, you may also choose to sync My Rewards with other services, such as your Photos, Videos, music, Documents, contacts, SMSs, Call log, List, x cloud, etc.

Log Data: Whenever you use our Service, in the case of an error in the app/portal we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the My Rewards when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies: Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as an anonymous unique identifier. These are sent to your browser from the website that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

This Service does not use these "cookies" explicitly. However, My Rewards may use third-party code and libraries that use "cookies" to collect information and to improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.

Device and technical usage information:

We collect the information you provide when you use My Rewards, such as your customer profile, unique identification code, mobile carrier, photos, videos, music, documents, contacts, SMS, Call log, App-list, xclouds: Facebook(pictures & Videos), Gmail, Dropbox, Instagram and time zone setting. We also collect device information such as operating systems, battery, signal strength, device identifiers, settings, and software names. We use this data to let you know about your usage statistics, to assist us in enforcing our terms, conditions and policies, to improve My rewards , and also to administer internal operations (such as for troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes), to keep My Rewards safe and secure (including verifying accounts and activity) to comply with legal obligations.

We want to make sure that MyRewards is easy and fun to use so we collect your usage data – such as stats about how you use our app

Transaction information:

we will collect information based on the storage plan you purchase via MY REWARDS so we can tailor MY REWARDS for you. This type of transaction-related data will only be used for value-added services including marketing with your consent.

Location information:

MY REWARDS collects information about your location based on one or more of the following:
• Derivations made from the IP address from which you connect;
• the Global Positioning System (GPS) of your device when MY REWARDS is running in the foreground or background; and/or (Together, “Location Information”).
• We use your Location Information to provide you with location-based tools and functions (“Location Functions”), provide customized nearby services or value-added services (including marketing) (“Location Value Added Services”) on MY REWARDS that we think you’d like. If you do not wish to share your GPS location with us or use any Location Functions, you can either switch off the GPS functionality on your mobile device

Other Ad-Hoc information:

We may conduct surveys or obtain other feedback, comments, and input from you via MY REWARDS or through websites or other platforms as deemed necessary based on viability. We use this information to understand your needs encircling what is working well, and what improvements can be made to enhance your user experience and improve MY REWARDS. we may use such information to provide marketing to you under the MY REWARDS Marketplace and Marketing section below.

Aggregated and anonymized Data:

We will use any of the above information to create aggregated and anonymized data, insights, and reports for internal business planning purposes and to understand how to improve MY REWARDS for our users.

We will also use the above-mentioned information to contact you and inform you regarding any new developments, features, or other important information about MY REWARDS.

For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to camera, microphone, accounts, contacts, or phone. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

The MY REWARDS uses certain third-party service(s) that may collect information used to identify you.

Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure.

1. What Personal Information about Customers does MY REWARDS gather?

The information we learn from customers helps us personalize and continually improve your MY REWARDS experience. Here are the types of information we gather. Information You Give Us: We receive and store any information you enter on our Website/App or give us in any other way. Where applicable, you may choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our features. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, customizing future shopping for you, improving our stores, and communicating with you.

We also compare our customer list to lists received from other companies, to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our customers

i. We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts the information you input.

MY REWARDS gives you access to a broad range of information about your account and your interactions with MY REWARDS for the limited purpose of viewing and, in certain cases, updating that information.

MY REWARDS does not sell products for purchase by children. We sell children's products for purchase by adults. If you are under 18, you may use MY REWARDSonly with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

8. Conditions of Use, Notices, and Revisions

If you choose to visit/use MY REWARDS , your visit and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Notice and our Conditions of Use, including limitations on damages, and resolution of disputes. If you have any concerns about privacy at MY REWARDS , please contact us with a thorough description, and we will try to resolve it. Our business changes constantly, and our Privacy Notice and the Conditions of Use will change also. We may e-mail periodic reminders of our notices and conditions, but you should check our Website/MY REWARDS frequently to see recent changes. Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Notice applies to all information that we have about you and your account. 9. Deletion of Data

If you want the data collected while you used/visited MY REWARDS may to be deleted, you need to unsubscribe/log out the service via the app/web. Once you unsubscribe/log out from the service all your data is flushed from our systems and if you visit/use the service again you will be treated as a new user.

Also note: All data collected for MY REWARDS app & web is only used for customer personalization tracking and reporting. None of this is given to any third party and is encrypted.

Parties to the Agreement

These Terms describe a contractual agreement between You, the User of the Platform, and MY REWARDS regarding Your use of the Platform. MY REWARDS has the right to refuse access at its discretion for any or no reason. Without limiting the foregoing, you specifically acknowledge that MY REWARDS reserves the right to terminate or limit Your access if MY REWARDS determines, in its sole discretion, that You have violated the policies of MY REWARDS or any forum used by You, including the activities that adversely affect the experience of other Users.

General Disclaimers

By using the Platform, You agree that You meet the Eligibility Criteria as detailed in Clause 2 (above) and that You are fully able and competent to understand and accept this Agreement as a binding contract and to abide by all Terms You shall not access the Platform by any other means other than through the interfaces that are provided by MY REWARDS and not acquire, copy, or monitor any portion of the Platform in any way to reproduce or circumvent the navigational structure or presentation of the Platform, to obtain or attempt to obtain any materials, documents, or information through any means not specifically made available through the Platform. You shall not host, display, upload, modify, publish, or share any information on the Platform that belongs to another person to which You do not have any right; or is grossly harmful, blasphemous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, pedophilic, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, racially objectionable, disparaging, relating to encouraging money laundering or gambling or otherwise unlawful in any manner; or engages in any activity that interferes with or disrupts access to the Platform or MY REWARDS servers/networks; or Falsifies or deletes any author attributions, legal or other notices, proprietary designations, label soft he origin or source of software,or other material on the Platform; or deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of such messages or communicates any information which is grossly offensive or menacing or which is patently false or misleading but may reasonably be perceived as a fact;

MY REWARDS is not affiliated with or supports any political organization, sect, ideology, or denomination The content and information available on our service do not reflect the opinions, teachings, beliefs, ideologies, or viewpoints of any particular religious group, denomination, sect or political organization. We have purchased the content from third-party content providers and all information has been thoroughly proofread. We do not intend to replace any official information provided by your local mosque or any other religious authority. Any misinformation or mistake is merely due to human error and not to harm the religious beliefs and values of anyone. We take the authenticity and quality of our content very seriously; however, we do not guarantee 100% accuracy of such information. You agree that in case of non-compliance with applicable laws, or with these terms and conditions, or with the MY REWARDS Privacy Policy, we have the right to terminate your access or usage rights to MY REWARDS immediately and remove non-compliant content from MY REWARDS . You hereby agree that you will never use MY REWARDS in violation of any applicable law.

MY REWARDS shall not be liable for any misuse of the Personal Information shared by You with Us or a third party on Your profile on the Platform.

MY REWARDS reserves the right to change the Terms from time to time, and such changes will apply to You if You continue to use the Platform at any time after such changes are posted on the Platform. Conditions for providing information to Service users:

During Service activation, the subscriber consents to receiving text messages for new features/updates in MY REWARDS. Text messages are sent from Billing Provider’s Network which does not incur any charges. MY REWARDS reserves the right to change the subscription fee or run special offers from time to time in which it can offer discounted or free subscriptions to Billing Provider’s customers.

MY REWARDS’s Rights

MY REWARDS shall:

MY REWARDS reserves the right to change the accepted method of payment or billing provider at its sole discretion;

No Guarantees

Among other things, MY REWARDS does not guarantee that:
The Platform will meet the User’s expectations; or
The Platform will be accessible without interruption or in a timely, reliable, or fault-free manner; or The results obtained through the use of the Platform will be as per users' expectations deemed as correct and reliable; or
The quality of the products, services, information, or other material Won or obtained by the User through the Platform will meet the User’s expectations
The User shall be solely responsible for damages to his or her data system or for loss of data arising from downloads of content from the Platform.
No guidance or information, written or oral, obtained from MY REWARDS or via the Platform, shall constitute any warranty, which has not specifically been stated in these Terms.

Limitation of Liability

Users specifically acknowledge and agree that in no event shall MY REWARDS be liable for any direct or indirect damage, including but not limited to, delay, damages caused by unused opportunity of the Platform, loss of profits, goodwill, licenses of data, or other financial loss arising out of: the use of the Platform or inability to use the Platform; costs arisen from acquiring are placement of any product or service that is based on any item, data, information, or service purchased through the Platform, from any message received through the Platform or any transactions made using the Platform; third party claims against the subscriber; unlawful access to or modifications of data transmissions; or any other circumstances related to the Platform.
MY REWARDS exempts itself from any claims for damages relating to the Platform access, function, quality, and possible errors such as spelling errors, bugs, and other factors relating to the Platform.
MY REWARDS shall not be liable for any indirect or unforeseeable damages caused to the Users under any given circumstances.
The User(s) shall maintain confidentiality of his/her User credentials and shall be responsible for any access made through his/her account. The User shall immediately notify MY REWARDS of any actual or suspected unauthorized use of the User’s credentials and may be liable for MY REWARDS ’s losses or such other parties as the case may be, due to any unauthorized use.

Force Majeure

MY REWARDS shall not be liable for any damages whatsoever arising out of force majeure or other similar circumstances, directly or indirectly affecting MY REWARDS and unreasonably complicating MY REWARDS’s activities. Examples of force majeure events are real or potential labor disputes, governmental actions, war or threat of war, sabotage, civil unrest, demonstrations, fire, storm, flooding, explosion, earthquake, provisions or limitations of materials or resources, inability to obtain the relevant authorization, accident, and defect in electricity or telecommunication network. Force majeure or other event beyond MY REWARDS’s control hindering, delaying or complicating the maintenance of the Platform entitles the MY REWARDS to suspend or limit the Platform until further notice.

Advertisements

MY REWARDS may include or offer third-party products on the Platform through digital advertisements, whether fetched directly from advertisers or sourced from ad networks MY REWARDS shall not be liable for any privacy practices or the content shared by the business partners, advertisers, sponsors, or other websites to which MY REWARDS provides links on the Platform. The Users shall be responsible for checking the privacy policy and terms of use of such third- parties before exploring their websites to safeguard their interests.

Term and Termination

Term:

This Agreement is valid until further notice.
MY REWARDS may at its sole discretion and without prior notice, suspend/ freeze/ terminate the User’s access to the Platform if he/she violates or attempts to violate the security of the Platform including, without limitation: accessing data not intended for You or logging on to a server or the User is not authorized to use; attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the system or network or to breach security or authentication measures without authentication; or accessing or using the Platform without authorization, in violation of these Terms, or in violation of applicable law
Violations of system or network security may result in civil or criminal liability. MY REWARDS will investigate occurrences that may involve such violations and cooperate with law enforcement authorities in prosecuting Users who are involved in such violations. You agree not to use any device, software, or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of this Platform or any activity being conducted on this Platform.
MY REWARDS may at its sole discretion and without prior notice, suspend, freeze or terminate the Subscriber Account under the following circumstances:
The Subscriber violates any or all terms of this Agreement or instructions on the Platform; MY REWARDS has reason to suspect a crime, misuse, fraud, or attempt of such in relation to use of the Platform;
MY REWARDS considers it to be necessary for safety reasons or MY REWARDS’s reputation; or
MY REWARDS is forced to do so according to legislation or ruling of a competent authority.

Indemnity

The Users shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MY REWARDS and its affiliates, if any, from and against all losses, liabilities, claims, suits, proceedings, penalties, interests, damages, demands, costs, and expenses (including legal and statutory fees and disbursements in connection therewith and interest chargeable thereon) asserted against or incurred by MY REWARDS that arise out of, result from, or in connection with: the User’s breach of these Terms; any claims made by any third party due to, or arising out of, or in connection with User’s use of MY REWARDS Platform or participation in a Tournament on the Platform or winning/claiming the reward of such Tournament; the User’s violation of any rights of another, including intellectual property rights;and the User’s violation of any applicable laws. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these Terms, in no event shall MY REWARDS and its affiliates, if any, be liable to the User or anyone claiming through the User in respect of any subject matter of these Terms.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the territory. You agree that MY REWARDS is solely based in Islamabad Pakistan, and nothing shall give rise to personal jurisdiction over us in jurisdictions other than Pakistan and you shall not raise any claims against us in any court or forum in any jurisdiction other than Pakistan Any claim or dispute between the Subscriber and MY REWARDS will be entertained and tried solely and exclusively by a court of competent jurisdiction located in Pakistan and no other place whatsoever.

Severability

If, for any reason, a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision of the Terms, or portion thereof, to be unenforceable, that portion shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible to give effect to the intent of the parties as reflected by that provision. The remainder of the Terms shall continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

No provision of this Agreement shall be deemed to be waived and no breach excused, unless such waiver or consent shall be in writing and signed by MY REWARDS. Any consent by MY REWARDS to, or a waiver by MY REWARDS of any breach by the User, whether expressed or implied, shall not constitute consent to, waiver of, or excuse for any other different or subsequent breach.


User Agreement For MyRewards

This User Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("User" or "You") and ("Company," "We," "Us," or "Our") governing Your use of the [MyRewards] mobile application ("App") and the services provided therein. By accessing or using the App, You agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If You do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

1. Description of the App: The MyRewards] App provides users with access to food deals, online store deals, and rewards points which can be redeemed for free data or other rewards as offered by the Company.

2. User Registration: 2.1. In order to access certain features of the App, You may be required to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

2.2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of Your account credentials and for all activities that occur under Your account. You agree to immediately notify the Company of any unauthorized use of Your account or any other breach of security.

3. Use of the App: 3.1. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with this Agreement and all applicable laws and regulations.

3.2. You agree not to:
. Use the App in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair the App or interfere with any other party's use of the App.
. Use any robot, spider, or other automatic device, process, or means to access the App for any purpose.
. Use any manual process to monitor or copy any of the material on the App or for any other unauthorized purpose without Our prior written consent.

4. Deals and Rewards: 4.1. The App provides access to food deals, online store deals, and rewards points. These deals and rewards are provided by third-party merchants and are subject to change without notice

4.2. The Company does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or quality of any deals or rewards offered through the App. You acknowledge that the Company is not responsible for any transactions or interactions between You and third-party merchants.

6. Intellectual Property: 6.1. The App and its entire contents, features, and functionality are owned by the Company and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Q) How are reward points earned?
A) You earn 1 point for every rupee spent on PTCL bill payments. For example, if you pay a PTCL bill of Rs. 3,500, you will receive 3,500 points in the MyRewards app within 24 hours.

Islamabad:(February 19, 2019), Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) pledges to support top startups being incubated at National Incubation Center (NIC) Karachi. A delegation of PTCL’s higher management visited NIC Karachi located at the NED University.

The session was led by Dr. Daniel Ritz, President & CEO, PTCL, accompanied by Moqeem ul Haque, Chief Commercial Officer, PTCL, Saad Muzaffar Waraich, Chief Technology & Information Officer, PTCL and Sikandar Naqi, Chief Business Development Officer, along with senior executives of PTCL. You will receive a call from our helpline to confirm your exact address details. Once confirmed, your order will undergo a feasibility check to ensure we are able to provide the best service possible at your desired location. Once feasibility is complete, you will receive an SMS requesting payment of the upfront charges (Rs. 25,000) against an MDN Number. You can make this payment conveniently via Uload, Easypaisa, Jazzcash, 1-Link, Online banking channels, etc. Once you have made the payment, our team will visit your premises for installation of the service. 

How will I recharge my device monthly?

What is involved in the Installation Process?

How long will the installation take?

Is there a warranty period with the device?

Yes, the device comes with 1-Month warranty, which does not include physical or water damage or damage caused by electrical fluctuations. 

What if I am not satisfied with the service?

The current package offers speeds up-to 15 Mbps. Our installation team will demonstrate a speed test to you upon the completion of the installation. If however, you still are not satisfied with the service you may opt for a return within 7 days of the installation. You can simply visit our PTCL/Ufone service center in Mirpur to request the return. Our team will visit your premises to retrieve the equipment which should be in perfect, undamaged, new condition. Upon retrieval your refund process will be initiated and our support team will get in touch with you to refund your installation charges (Rs. 25,000). PTCL Returns to Full Year Revenue Growth for the first time since 2014

 

Islamabad, February 12, 2019: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), the country’s leading telecom and ICT services provider, has announced its financial results for the year ended December 31, 2018, at its Board of Directors’ meeting, held in Islamabad on February 12, 2019.

PTCL Group’s revenue for the year 2018 has grown YoY by 8% to Rs. 126.2 billion as a result of positive contribution by all group companies. PTCL Group’s revenue growth in the fourth quarter accelerated to 13% YoY. Ufone revenue has increased by 13% YoY, UBank, a microfinance banking subsidiary of PTCL, has shown significant growth of 64% in its revenue over last year. PTCL Group’s operating profit and net profit for the year have improved by 198% and 32% respectively. Like-for-like, net profit of PTCL Group is higher by 22% compared to last year.

PTCL revenue of Rs. 70.1 billion for the year is 0.7% higher than last year, with quarter 4 showing an accelerated growth of 3.4% YoY. In 2018, PTCL’s revenue has registered YoY growth for the first time since 2014:

In 2018, three quarters of PTCL’s revenue base has shown a growth over last year. PTCL’s flagship Fixed Broadband services posted revenue growth of 6.5% over 2017. For the 51 exchanges fully transformed to date under the network transformation program YoY revenue growth is even higher at 12.4%. Investment in transformation of network exchanges has resulted in enhancing customer experience by reducing network faults by 36% and repeat faults by 50%, along with providing higher bandwidths beyond 100Mbps, bundled with Triple Play services. To further enrich the product and services portfolio, PTCL has partnered with the global OTT players like Netflix, STARZ Play, icflix, etc. PTCL has also been recognized by Brand Finance as the ‘Fastest Growing Brand in Pakistan’.

Corporate business continues to perform strongly and has shown significant growth of 13% over last year by signing new customers in Managed Services and Cloud Infrastructure Services resulting in 154% and 188% growth respectively in these two segments.

Conversion of EVO customers to Charji/LTE have yielded positive results with YoY revenue growth in double digits, however, it has also resulted in higher subscriber acquisition cost as compared to last year. There is continued decline in domestic and international voice revenues due to increase in illegal/grey traffic termination, continued conversion of subscribers to OTT and cellular services, resulting in declining voice traffic volumes.

PTCL’s operating profit for the year is lower by 9%, compared to 2017 mainly due to increase in operating cost on account of currency devaluation and higher subscriber acquisition cost. Further, non-operating income has also declined due to reduced funds as compared to last year. Net Profit for the year is Rs. 7.4 billion which is 11% lower compared to last year as reported (and 8% lower if adjusted for one-offs), driven by lower operating profit and lower non-operating income.

In 2018, the financial strength of PTCL was acknowledged through an independent rating exercise as a result of which JCR-VIS has assigned PTCL a long-term rating of AAA which will enhance all stakeholders’ confidence in the long-term sustainability of the Company.

This year yet again, PTCL has inducted top 100 young engineers and business graduates under Summit Program 2018 from top institutions and universities across Pakistan, which would help in building future leadership. Thanks to its sustained high growth, Ubank has created more than 650 new positions during 2018, increasing its employee base from 1,321 to 1,980, where 9% of the total workforce comprises of women.

The CEO of PTCL, Dr. Daniel Ritz, has decided to leave PTCL for personal reasons upon completion of his 3-year contract on March 1, 2019, in order to re-unite with his family in Europe. The PTCL Board of Directors at its meeting today has appointed Rashid Khan, currently CEO of Ufone, to the post of CEO PTCL effective March 2, 2019, with an additional charge of CEO Ufone.

On the occasion, Dr. Ritz said, “It has been a privilege and an honor to lead PTCL and the PTCL Group through a period of significant transformation. PTCL injects PKR 4 Billion in U Microfinance Bank for growth

Islamabad, December 31, 2018: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has signed an agreement for PKR 4 Billion Unsecured Subordinated Debt Facility (Tier 2 capital) with U Microfinance Bank (U Bank), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of PTCL. This capital injection will enable the bank to further capitalize on the growth opportunities possible in Pakistan’s microfinance sector.

In the constantly changing competitive landscape, this Tier 2 facility will enable U Bank to expand its current customer reach for serving the under-served population. U Microfinance Bank plans to utilize these funds in its business operations and expansion plans. Serving its customers through disruptive innovation and digitization, the bank will focus on achieving its growth targets.

Not only will it enable the bank to utilize additional capital with flexibility as it grows, the debt amount will also contribute towards U Bank’s Supplementary/Tier 2 Capital for Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) as per the guidelines for Microfinance banks that are set out by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

Most significantly, the number of employees increased from to 1,321 to 1,980, where 9% of the total work force comprises of women.

PTCL upgrades City Hyderabad & Qasimabad Exchanges

Multan, December 12, 2018: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) upgrades Gulgasht and New Multan exchanges through its Network Transformation Project (NTP) in Multan. PTCL Clifton & Gulshan exchanges revamped under Network Transformation Project

Karachi, December 5, 2018: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), has embarked upon a massive Network Transformation Project (NTP) under which Clifton and Gulshan exchanges have been revamped in Karachi, thus making it possible for customers in these areas to experience and enjoy reliable, high speed unlimited internet.

Under this project, PTCL plans to upgrade 100 exchanges across Pakistan, out of which 53 have already been completed. A total of 3,000 km of fiber network, including Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) & Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) has been deployed across Pakistan.

Abdul Zahir Achakzai, Regional General Manager, PTCL said, “We are pleased to see that our transformed exchanges have yielded positive results. The customers residing in Clifton and Gulshan areas of Karachi can now experience high speed and unlimited internet through the new PTCL network. Furthermore, we are already in the process of transforming more exchanges in Karachi under the NTP program.”

In transformed exchanges, the customers can now avail unlimited internet with speeds from 10 to 100 mbps, along with free PTCL calls, unlimited downloads, free PTCL Smart TV and Smart TV App, unlimited iflix access for 1-year and free Wi-Fi router.

As of now, PTCL has launched the new network in 12 cities, including Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Kharian, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi and Sialkot. PTCL ‘Fun & Sports Gala’ 2018 concludes in Islamabad

Islamabad, November 28, 2018: PTCL organized a week-long Fun & Sports Gala for its employees and their families in Islamabad. The event comprised of various sports categories including Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis & Squash. There were also some exciting recreational activities like jumping castles, slides, horse riding and face-painting for children.  

The North Zone won the grand finale of Cricket, which was held in F-9 park, Islamabad. The Guest of Honor, Mohammad Waseem, former national cricket player, along with Dr. Daniel Ritz, President & CEO, PTCL and Syed Mazhar Hussain, Chief Human Resource Officer, PTCL, distributed the trophies amongst the winners and runner-ups.

All the teams and participants displayed true sportsmanship throughout the tournament, where the audience cheered for their favorite teams and players. Badminton was won by the North Zone in male category and HQ in female category, HQ men & women teams clinched the trophies in Table Tennis, whereas HQ got first position in both Squash and Lawn Tennis.

Lahore, November 8, 2018: PTCL’s key exchanges located in DHA, Guldasht, Gulshan Ravi, Johar Town and WAPDA Town in Lahore have been upgraded under its Network Transformation Project (NTP). The customers residing in these areas can now enjoy and experience reliable high-speed unlimited internet.

PTCL transforms Cantt Gujranwala & Site Sialkot exchanges under its Network Transformation Project

Gujranwala, November 7, 2018: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited has transformed Cantt Gujranwala & Site Sialkot exchanges in Gujranwala under the Network Transformation Project (NTP) in order to serve its customers better. The upgraded exchanges will provide high speed unlimited internet to the customers in the transformed exchange areas. 

NTP in Gujranwala is specifically targeted at students, households and commercial hubs where a rehabilitated copper network can give broadband speed up to 50Mbps and the Fiber To The Home (FTTH) network can go up to 100Mbps. Besides broadband, this kind of high quality network will increase the IPTV penetration as well.

PTCL customers in Bahria Town, Shaheen Town, Tarlai & I-10 areas to enjoy high speed & unlimited internet

 

Islamabad, November 7, 2018: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has transformed key exchanges as part of its comprehensive Network Transformation Project (NTP) under which Bahria Town, Shaheen Town, Tarlai and I-10 exchanges in Islamabad have been upgraded. This transformation will ensure that customers residing in these areas are able to experience reliable, high speed internet.

The transformation has already started to show great results as 53 exchanges, out of the 100 which were initially planned, have been successfully transformed, thus positively impacting approximately 50% of PTCL’s overall customer base.

Complaints have considerably reduced by 30% where the network has been upgraded. This has resulted in efficient complaint resolution through ‘Motive’, which is a unique innovation tool for wireline business aimed at identification of complaint’s cause.

Through a transformed network, PTCL can provide a faster connection with the improved copper network and the new fiber network. PTCL has installed 300,000 high-quality new equipment for customer premises nationwide this year, which offers ultra-high data rates of up to 100 mbps. Up to 16 users can connect to the high-quality modems at the same time through Wi-Fi.

PTCL organizes Breast Cancer Awareness drive for its employees

Islamabad, October 25, 2018: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) organized a Breast Cancer Awareness drive under The Pink Club, whereby an exclusive session for all female staff and female family members of male staff was held.

The session featured the real life story of a Breast Cancer survivor, Mrs. Khanum Mumtaz Mirza, who is mother of a PTCL staff member. Mrs. Mirza talked about her journey of how she conquered the disease by undergoing the difficult process of diagnosis, treatment, surgery and post-operative care, along with the psychological repercussions of the disease.

The session also included a talk on the importance of early detection through self-examination in order to overcome the disease at an early stage, where chances of survival are relatively high. PTCL’s Senior Medical Officer, Dr. Asma Mahfooz explained the self-examination procedure and also answered questions from the audience. The session was appreciated by all audience members.

Showing solidarity to the cause, PTCL official logo was changed to pink on all social media forums, which will remain for the month of October. Besides, PTCL Headquarters in Islamabad was illuminated pink and staff members adorned the signature pink badge to pledge their support for this cause.

Hina Tasleem, GM HR Strategy and founder of The Pink Club at PTCL, stated, “Our main objective of starting ‘The Pink Club’ was to take initiatives and create awareness on the issues related to working women including health, welfare and safety at PTCL. By organizing such sessions, we ensure that our female employees remain updated and aware of pertinent health issues and measures to counter possible risks. It is our endeavor to create a healthy environment that is conducive to physical and mental well-being of our employees.”

Breast Cancer is amongst the most commonly occurring cancers for women, one in every eight women are likely to suffer from the disease in their lifetime. However, early detection can reduce the risk of fatality and provide a chance to lead a normal life.

Hosted by PTCL regional medical staff, similar awareness sessions were held at different regional offices, where female staff attended the Breast Cancer awareness events.
