THE PINK CLUB
Empowering Women
The Pink Club is an exclusive space for women at PTCL which
looks after their workplace well-being. We envision the club to help
create a conducive environment for all women so that they can
explore their optimum potential and bring value to their job while
maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
A Talk with Maria Ritz
Maria Ritz, wife to Dr. Daniel Ritz (Ex-President & CEO of PTCL),
frequently participated in company events. An insightful session
was organised for female employees of PTCL HQ, ITR and RTR, so
they could learn more about her professional and personal life, as
well as her experiences as an expat living in Pakistan. In her talk,
Maria Ritz boosted the confidence of working mothers by assuring
them that they definitely had the best end of the deal whilst raising
children and working for a living due to the family support present.
She also expressed an admiration for the resilience, adaptability
and the confidence Pakistani women exuberate in their daily lives.
The session was very well received by the audience and female
staff members reportedly felt more empowered emotionally.
No Meetha March
The Pink Club ran a nationwide campaign for the ‘No Meetha
March’ and challenged all PTCL women to quit processed sugars
for a month. The challenge caught fire one office at a time and after
a week, endorsements for the campaign poured in from different
regional offices. Through this drive, the club wanted to reinforce the
need to develop a healthy lifestyle for its female staff.
Power Yoga Ramzan
The Pink Club arranged Power Yoga sessions for women at the
Headquarters and adjoining office locations, all throughout the holy
month of Ramzan. The sessions were facilitated by Ms. Shumaila
Yogan, a prominent name in the local yoga circle. The testimonials
received at the end of the month were overwhelming and
reinforced the significance of work-life balance.
