Mr. Abdulrahim A. Al Nooryani is the longest serving Board member and has been on the Board since 2006.
Mr. Al Nooryani has 40 years’ experience in the telecom industry. He is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Etisalat International Pakistan LLC, which is a subsidiary of Emirates Telecommunications Group Company PJSC. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pak Telecom Mobile Limited. Mr. Al Nooryani joined Etisalat as a graduate trainee, and subsequently rose to become the Chief Officer Procurement, Contracts and Administration. He held several directorships at Etisalat’s numerous subsidiaries.
Mr. Khaled Hegazy is the Chief Strategy and Regulatory Officer of e& International, responsible for Regulatory, Strategy and Portfolio Management for the 15 Opco’s outside the UAE. Prior to that, he was Etisalat Egypt's Chief Business leading transformation of the Enterprise segment that resulted in significant revenue and market share growth to become the second largest player in Egypt's Enterprise market for the first time.
Mr. Hegazy initially joined Etisalat Egypt in November 2016 as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, where he led the development of several key teams, including Regulatory, Strategy, Legal, International Wholesale, Government Affairs, and Corporate Communications. Before that he was the External Affairs and Legal Director for Etisalat Egypt from 2009. He was the Head of External Relations for Procter & Gamble (P&G) for the Near East Region until 2009.
Mr. Hegazy has a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA, both from the American University in Cairo, Egypt.
He is a board member in several companies and business organizations in Egypt and in the Middle East. The most recent is his appointment as a Director on the Supervisory Board of Maroc Telecom, a company listed on Euronext and Casablanca stock market.
Mr. Ahad Khan Cheema is currently Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Establishment.
Mr. Cheema has more than 20 years of experience of working in a broad range of organizations both within public sector as well as outside in various administrative positions. His last assignment was Chief Executive Officer, Quaid-e-Azam Thermal Power (Pvt.) Limited. He was responsible for setting up large sized power plants. He has also served at other key positions including Director General, Lahore Development Authority, District Coordination Officer, Lahore, Secretary, Higher Education Department, Punjab, Additional Secretary (Welfare), Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), Additional Project Director, Punjab Education Sector Reform Program (PESRP), Deputy Director, Punjab Education Sector Reform Program (PESRP), Deputy Director, Strategic Policy Unit, Faisalabad, Deputy District Officer (Revenue), Faisalabad and Deputy District Officer, Battagram.
Mr. Cheema holds MSc. in Social Policy and Planning from London School of Economics & Political Science on scholarship. He also received degrees in MA Economics, MA Mass Communication and LLB from the University of Punjab, Lahore
Mr. Imdad Ullah Bosal is a career civil servant with over 28 years of experience in key administrative and policy making positions in the Government of Pakistan. Before joining as Finance Secretary, Mr. Imdad Ullah Bosal has held important positions of Secretary, Industries & Production and Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). He has also worked as Additional Secretary (Expenditure) and Additional Secretary (Banking/Investment/Inter-governmental Finance) in Ministry of Finance in the years 2020-2022. Mr. Bosal has also served as Secretary to the Chief Minister Punjab, Special Secretary Finance (Punjab) and as Commissioner of two important regions of Punjab i.e. Rawalpindi and Lahore.
Mr. Bosal is a result-oriented leader with expertise in public finance, public administration and political economy. He is a dynamic government servant with direct understanding of governance systems and political economy of Pakistan.
He has done Masters of Public Policy from Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford and M.Sc in Political Economy of Development (Distinction) from School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
He has been awarded national award of Sitara-e-Imtiaz for recognition of his contribution in public service by the Government of Pakistan.
Ms. Brooke Lindsay is the Group Chief Legal & Compliance Officer of e&. She joined e& in December 2010. She’s held a number of internal roles, including General Counsel for International in 2020. Lindsay has also served on a number of boards on behalf of e&, both in the UAE and internationally.
She has a successful track record in managing and mitigating risks, providing pragmatic legal solutions and driving compliance at the Group level while also serving as the chief advisor to the company’s executive management team and Board of Directors. Lindsay is a market leader in navigating strategic legal matters.
Prior to joining e&, Lindsay worked for leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills and leading independent Australian law firm, McCullough Robertson. She is currently a Board Member of iMENA Group, an investment firm focused on operating innovative start-ups in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and Khazna, the largest commercial wholesale data centre provider and infrastructure operator in the UAE.
Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from Bond University, Australia.
Dr. Karim Bennis is the Group Chief Financial Officer of e&. Prior to this, he was Vice President, Financial Control and Planning of e& for seven years, having started his journey with e& in 2013. His previous positions include Deputy Managing Director and CFO at Tractafric Motors Corporation, Financial Controller, Strategic Planning, Subsidiaries Management and Investor Relations of Maroc Telecom - as a secondee of Vivendi Group - as well as Financial Controller of Crown Cork Holdings.
Alongside his strong expertise in telecoms, Karim has garnered international experience in Europe across several industries, including manufacturing, retail and heavy equipment and is fluent in English, French and Arabic.
Dr. Bennis is a member of the Board and Audit Committee of Etisalat Egypt, Maroc Telecom Group in Morocco, Mobily in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL Group) and Atlantique Telecom Holding.
He holds a PhD in Economics and Technology from Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris, a Master’s degree in Economics and Corporate Finance from Sciences-Po, Paris, a Master’s degree in Audit and Management Accounting from SKEMA Business School and an Executive MBA from École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées. Additionally, he has completed the Executive Chief Financial Officer Program at Columbia Business School in New York.
Mr. Khalid Murshed is the Chief Technology & Information Officer of Etisalat UAE, from e& (formerly known as Etisalat Group).
He brings over 24 years of experience to the telecom industry, where he has realized the Etisalat UAE’s strategic priorities in line with the Group’s transformation ambitions as a global technology and investment conglomerate. A technology visionary, Murshed is charged with making executive technology decisions on behalf of Etisalat UAE, focusing on driving value creation through the strategic application of new technologies which impact business growth and enhance customer experience. He is responsible for sustaining the company’s digitalization leadership and empowering a culture of innovation so that the company remains agile, increases operational efficiency and stays digitally resilient for the future.
Previously, he was CTO at Etisalat Misr, where he was instrumental in enabling strategic innovation and improving operational efficiency by converging both networks and IT infrastructure successfully, thereby strengthening the company's market position as it augmented the value delivered to customer segments.
Mr. Khalid has garnered a wealth of business experience from working in critical executive roles across the UAE, KSA and Egypt, where he steered the building of optimal communication networks and systems according to the Etisalat UAE strategic objectives. Throughout his career, he has exercised thought leadership in bringing rapid digital change in a dynamically changing marketing environment and keeping with the ever-evolving customer behaviors for a digital-throughout lifestyle.
Prior to working with Etisalat, he was the Vice President of Mobile Access Networks at du (Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company), where he successfully drove the complete roll-out of the full access network. Before that, he was appointed Network Development Director at Mobily, overseeing the KSA Central Region, where he led strategic campaigns for launching the mobile network during the Haj season.
Mr. Khalid joined Etisalat UAE in 1998 as part of the Mobile Planning department. He graduated from Khalifa University with a Bachelor’s degree in Telecom Engineering and is a member of various global industry associations such as FTTH Council, ITU, TM Forum and Gartner.
Jawad Paul Khawaja, a career civil servant with twenty-eight years’ experience in public service delivery, administration and management. Posted as Secretary, Privatisation Division, he is responsible for assisting the Federal Government in devising its privatisation programme and framing privatisation policy besides its implementation.
He holds degrees of LLM (University of Warwick), MBA (Lahore University of Management Sciences) and BSc (Electrical Engineering) from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. He is also a Chevening (2009) and Eisenhower (2017) fellow.
His key assignments include Registrar, Supreme Court of Pakistan, Secretary, Council of Common Interests, Additional Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office, Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Capital Territory, Joint Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office, Joint Secretary, Establishment Division, Director, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and Assistant Commissioner in various districts in Punjab and Balochistan. His key achievements in public service include Acquisition and Development of two sectors in Islamabad, Initiation of Computerization of Land Record in Islamabad, Implementation of Mobile Number Portability, Framing and approval of Policy for Renewal of Cellular Licenses in 2019, International Mobile Equipment Identity facility and licensing of Telecom licenses in AJ&K/Northern areas and Formulation of Promotion Rules for Senior Civil Servants.
