Islamabad: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), the largest ICT services provider in Pakistan, on Thursday announced profitable quarter results riding on the back of its growing fixed and wireless broadband business.
PTCL announced revenues of Rs 62.6 billion for the period ended September 30, 2014, an increase of 3% over the same period of last year, while gross and net profit of the Company stood at Rs. 20.9 and 8.7 billion respectively.
PTCL cash flows remain healthy and stable due to the consistent growth in the subscriber base and strong market position.
PTCL Group earned revenue of Rs 99.3 billion during the reported period. Net profit earned was Rs. 7.8 billion, while gross profit was recorded at Rs. 34.2 billion.
Walid Irshaid, President & CEO PTCL expressed his satisfaction at the financial performance of the company adding that, “We have delivered once again on our promise to our shareholders. Despite the setback due to the recent floods and the fire incident at one of our facility in Lahore, the dedication and resilience of our staff to restore services in flood affected areas and to resurrect the entire facility; in a matter of days demonstrates our commitment to our customers. Our profitable third quarter results once again show our ability to work with diversified product line aligned with market demand”.
