My name is Attique Tahir. After I completed my Masters in Marketing Management from London in 2007, I came back to Pakistan early in 2008 & started looking for jobs. Fortunately, I didn’t have to wait much and was hired by PTCL as Management Trainee in the Commercial department. The first thing that I noticed in PTCL was that, since it is going through a transformation, it posed a lot of challenges. This would not only enrich my learning experience but would also present me with a fabulous opportunity to grow.
I am currently working as Manager Campaigns in Wireline Business Department. My over 7 years journey in PTCL has been really great that has persistently provided me with many opportunities to grow. The key highlights of this journey are my selection as change agent in company’s biggest Mckinsey’s business process re-engineering project; my identification as future leader among 24 others through rigorous assessment by external HR consultants out of a huge employee base of PTCL which was followed by future leader development program and my selection in the Top 100 talent of Etisalat out of its 18 operating companies.
I aspire to make PTCL the favorite choice of customers for voice and data services that can make a positive impact in the lives of millions; and I intend to achieve it through innovation & creativity, absolute customer centricity, effective team work and strategic problem solving & decision making.
The most exciting thing about PTCL is that it provides various trainings both related to soft skills and the concerned functional area which can really groom an individual. I have attended various trainings at PTCL which have greatly helped me in improving my personal effectiveness. These trainings included 2 foreign trainings as well.
Back in 2013, when I join PTCL as an Intern, I was an ACCA student with only two papers left to accomplish my goal to become a Certified Chartered Accountant. I first became interested in PTCL when I learnt about the Triple~E Internship program. I applied and after a series of tests and interviews, I got selected as an intern in PTCL. I became part of this talent hunt program, as I thought it will be a good base to sharpen my abilities according to the changing work environment.
PTCL is the leading telecommunication organization in Pakistan. It has versatile business milieu and it helped me a lot in becoming a thorough professional. The first thing I noticed in PTCL was the versatile culture; though it is interesting yet challenging to establish roots in the corporate environment.
As I had the internship experience at an audit firm, this job was an opportunity for me to learn and adapt myself to groom as a Professional Accountant. It also gave me the perfect scenario to apply my skills which I have learnt in pursuing ACCA.
I am currently working in Interconnect Revenue department as a Financial Analyst. I am responsible for planning, analysis and projection for the revenue as in the best interest of the company. I forecast future revenues and expenditures to establish cost structures and determine capital budgeting for projects. And I intend to achieve it through innovation & creativity, absolute customer centricity, effective team work and strategic problem solving & decision making.
I hope to learn the keys to financial management and the tricks of the trade from the experienced management of this prestigious organization. As PTCL is a part of Etisalat group, a multinational blue-chip company, so I feel honored to work here.
The most stimulating thing about PTCL is that it provides you the prospect to polish your skills and your functional area which can really groom you as a professional. PTCL provided me with the required training which helped me in improving my personal and professional effectiveness.
I’m Amreen Khan and I joined PTCL in March 2014 as Management Trainee. I began my career at PTCL. Prior to this, I had done various internships at a bank and telecom and philanthropic organizations. It won’t be wrong to say it was PTCL that had provided me a firm platform to grow professionally.
The first and the best thing I had noticed about PTCL after joining was how highly it values ‘young talent’. A lot of the employees working at PTCL are fresh graduates, depicting that as PTCL’s slogan states ‘Hello to the future’, it actually aims to build the future through the competence and enthusiasm of fresh talent.
Currently, I am Assistant Manager Corporate Process Excellence & Control; I had been promoted after six months of probation. Even as a trainee, my team mentors would entrust me with major tasks that I had to work on my own. Be it through self-probing, research, mistakes etc., I eventually completed all my tasks with positive outcomes and also received the recognition for it. This instilled a sense of responsibility and achievement within me and definitely offered an opportunity to learn and grow independently.
My future aspirations at PTCL are to become Manager Corporate Process Excellence and Control in order to master processes from a customer-oriented perspective and to ensure that added value is provided to customers as efficiently as possible. Certainly I shall be able to achieve them only if I work with confidence, commitment and collaboration.
During my initial days as a trainee, I was quite confused and overwhelmed with the complex organizational structure. Once I received an e-mail stating ‘FNA’. Unaware of its abbreviation, I didn’t realize its importance until I was inquired about project status but thankfully I wasn’t scolded for this. From this incident, I learnt that professionally you have to be on your toes 24/7 and explore stuff yourself by taking initiative.
The thing I love about PTCL is the boost it has given to my career. It gives me an immense sense of pride while telling people that I work as Assistant Manager at PTCL.
I joined PTCL as an Assistant Manager – Wireless Development in July 2010 and had previously worked at Telecom Foundation.
Presently I’m working as the PMO to the Chief Technical Officer responsible for tracking and apprising management for all Projects going on in the Technical Domain. At PTCL, if you are willing to take responsibility and work dedicatedly – there are lots of growth opportunities. Due to my hard work, dedication, commitment to work and appreciation by my Boss, I was shortlisted in PTCL’s High Performers Group called FuEL – Future Leaders of PTCL. Continuous improvement and commitment to work also made me a part of Etisalat Top 100 Performers.
Induction in to these programs has motivated and inspired me to contribute more to my Job and motivate others as well that hard work always pays off. I believe, PTCL is the place for those who mold themselves accordingly and work proactively and there is lot of potential for Growth.
I am thankful to my bosses at PTCL for giving me such learning opportunities and appreciating my work and I hope to keep learning.
I am an ambitious and extremely committed professional with 7+ years of diverse experience in the field of Human Resource and an MBA degree from NUST.
I am a goal-driven achiever having an exceptional understanding and experience of latest HR practices and organizational development concepts. I am proficient in formulation and implementation of coherent strategic HR policies and plans for furtherance of corporate goals.
I believe “Pleasure in job puts perfection in the work” - Aristotle
It’s not a piece of cake to make one’s position in a corporate world. In 2007, I took a decision and decided to opt for PTCL as my first step in the professional world and joined PTCL as a Management trainee HR. I felt myself very privileged to be part of PTCL, the leading Service Provider Company.
Despite of all the hard work and contributions I have made in PTCL, undoubtedly I can proudly state that I have grown with PTCL. I have been paid for all my efforts; hence that is why currently I am serving PTCL as GM HR strategy and Special Projects. PTCL culture of empowerment has always provided me a platform to think beyond boundaries and encouragement to come up with new ideas which can take the organization to another level. This has always inspired me and motivated me to foster my abilities and give my best.
Moreover, I believe there is a lot of room for improvement and in future I am determined to achieve more. PTCL has been the best thing that could ever happen to me, I cherish all the time I have spent here and look forward to more bright years ahead.
Well this was it, the last page of the scrap book we called university, and I was finally getting employed. Almost after a year of job hopping, I landed into PTCL in March, 2008. Nervous and eager, I commenced my journey as a Management Trainee at this, to my surprise, fast paced company.
“When you sing, every part of the body plays a vital role in hitting the right note. If you don’t hold your spine correctly, notes can come out flat. If you don’t breathe from your abdominal muscles, you’ll take less air into your lungs, and the note will die mid-phrase”
I believe that is what applied in PTCL, too. Humming every note in unison, striking every chord in a rhythm, hand in hand and together towards a better tomorrow. Working in PTCL, led to me to discover myself. Stimulated and groomed my personality, taught me candor and provided me an opportunity to have a perspective. Be it through formal trainings, or speaking at international forums and conferences.
Harmony and synthesis, driven from the top and trickled down to the bottom of organization, I was exposed to variety of experiences. Those opportunities opened substantial growth avenues for me, and subsequently came the rewards and benefits. Be it the selection at the “HiPo” program, fast track promotions, or the opportunity to work on a rotation at the Etisalat Group.
The stimulus for innovation and progressing forward never stops to evolve. Today as General Manager, when I look back at my journey, I see persistent mentoring, progressive guidance, a free hand to break the Box and think beyond; I see an exposure to all facets of business and a pat on the back and acknowledgement of efforts. The gig nights and talent shows, the hiking trails and adventure clubs; every note comes in and whispers the melody.
This is PTCL. Come GROW with us and experience constant learning and development in the ever-changing world.
I am Danish Hasan Siddiqui and I joined PTCL in 2007 as an abecedarian, with limited professional knowledge of working in titan companies.
The memory of joining day is amazing. I had feelings of pleasure & nervousness. Pleasure was the way F&F applauded me & the nervousness was because of the fear of unknown (whether I’d be able to survive in such a massive organization).
After passing initial days of continuous hard work, currently, I am working as Manager Material & Logistics South.
During 8 years in PTCL, I realized positive shift within my personality. It is all because of the trainings, direction and guidance from my management that has trained my professional skills of Supply Chain through which I am able to achieve financial, career, professional & personal growth that has also helped me in maintaining proper work life balance.

Coming back from International market and joining local company was a bit tough. But, I felt lucky that I had been selected in PTCL IT team to manage the region’s biggest ERP implementation. The first few things I had noticed in PTCL were the highly professionals to work with, nurturing culture and superb corporate working environment. Till date, the journey of learning from highly motivated management, peers and team members is exemplary.
Currently, I am working as Senior Manager Projects in IT department. PTCL, over the time, has offered me number of opportunities to learn, refine, and improve my skills. In addition to many technical trainings related to my domain (SAP, Siebel CRM, TOGAF, etcetera), PTCL offered me an opportunity to participate in Etisalat Group’s High Potential program. Group program offered me trainings from the world’s top institutions: Harvard Mangementor®, Informa and HEC Paris are the few to name. For growth, PTCL offered me job rotations and continuous challenging opportunities. These opportunities allowed me to successfully implement various enterprise level projects in PTCL. Informal engagement programs and activities from HR also furthered the growth experience.
I am looking forward to enhance my expertise in Information Technology Management and hone relevant skills. My dream is to lead PTCL IT team and enable business to become region’s leading ICT Company.
The thing I love most about PTCL is the culture to learn, teach and apply. Human touch with professionalism is another appreciable aspect. A highly professional environment provides opportunities to nurture my skills.

From largest fixed voice telephony and broadband network to fastest wireless broadband, most advanced Data Centers, Cloud Computing services to Submarine Cables and Satellite Stations. PTCL offers the most diverse and innovative platform for any professional to excel.
I vividly remember walking towards the sprawling PTCL HQs on my first day. I was excited and nervous at the same time, not knowing what the future had in store for me. The friendly welcome of my team mates and seniors alike came as a pleasant surprise, easing my transition into the new role and the support of my colleagues made things a lot easier. No doubt, PTCL is a place where your dedication, your hard work gets recognition & you are fully supported by your senior leadership.
