It was fate that brought me to the awe-inspiring PTCL premises. I was selected among the first batch of Management Trainees (MT) at PTCL in 2005 as a freshman. For a person straight out of university, the professional world can be quite intimidating. It is also important to work with the right organization, especially at the start of your career, as it is the building block towards a successful professional life in the future. Being part of the Etisalat Group & having its footprints in more than 15 countries, makes PTCL an exciting and challenging place to work. There are numerous opportunities for career progression and development within the Group, and this is probably the reason why I have worked for PTCL for so long, especially after my selection in Etisalat’s HiPo Program in 2015.

From a Management Trainee in IT department to a General Manager in HR, is a journey full of passion & excitement. This is an organization where you can plan your career innings as PTCL lets you grow, while you are aiding its growth. It provides a whole bunch of opportunities to anyone in the organization especially for those who have the drive for it. The most important thing that I would appreciate is the learning that comes with those opportunities that fueled my learning appetite. With PTCL’s support, I was able to complete Executive MBA from LUMS. It has given me the opportunity to leverage what I learned through my studies and apply it in the real world.

They even recognize and reward your hard work as I also got “Presidential Excellence Award” twice in my career. I shall always be thankful to the people who believed in me and gave me this opportunity to grow, not only within the company but also as a person. At PTCL, I have learnt so much – I faced challenges and I also experienced very beautiful moments that will stay forever in my memory and even after serving PTCL over 14 years, I still feel like the young zealous MT I was.
