PTCL Double Up Unlimited Package

This is a bundled package for unlimited on-net voice and broadband, and hence will only be available to PSTN landline residential subscribers who have an active broadband connection. All on-net calls (local and NWD) will not be charged, whereas all off-net calls (local, NWD, Mobile and International) will be charged as per the existing tariff. The salient features of this package are summarized as following:

Unlimited on-net local & NWD calls (PTCL to PTCL and PTCL to V-fone) along with DSL broadband service for a fixed monthly charge. The package tariff / charges are:

This will be an opt-in package with subscription through PTCL’s Helpline:1236
Smart line customers will have to pay Rs 300 on-top of this package charges.

Q 1. What is Double Up Unlimited package?
A. Double Up Unlimited Package enables you to make Unlimited On-Net Local and NWD Calls along with your Unlimited Broadband Package. You may choose anyone of the following packages based on your convenience. Package fee is charged on monthly basis.

Q 2. Can I subscribe for Double Up Unlimited Package along with Regional Package, Pakistan Package or International Plus Package?
A. You cannot subscribe to Double Up Unlimited Package along with either Pakistan Package or Regional Package. However, Double Up Unlimited Package can be subscribed along with International Plus. You will have to pay an additional subscription fee for using International Plus package along with any of the Double Up Unlimited Packages.

Q 3. I am a corporate customer can we subscribe to Double Up Unlimited Package?
A. Currently this service is provided only to Residential customers.

Q 4. I am using PTCL Broadband Student Package, can I subscribe to Double Up Unlimited Package?
A. Yes, you may switch from Student Package to Double Up Unlimited Package. By switching to Double Up Unlimited Package you will be charged based on Double Up Unlimited Package tariff plan that you opt to use. You may not be eligible for any discount.

Q 5. Do I have to pay the Line Rent if I am paying the package subscription fee?
A. Double Up Unlimited Package offers you a waiver on Line Rent. Your Package fee also includes your Broadband Charges and Unlimited On-net Local/NWD calls.

Q 6. If I de-activate my Double Up Unlimited Package what will be my default landline package and default Broadband package?
A. Your default Landline Package will be Basic Plus. You will move back to Unlimited Broadband package with the same bandwidth for which you had subscribed while using Double Up Unlimited Package.

Q 7. Do I have to pay for CLI when I am paying the package subscription fee?
A. Yes, you will have to pay for CLI or any other Special facility charges like Kehdo SMS, Conference Calls, and VMS etc; which you have subscribed.

Q 8. Do I have to pay for VOD and IPTV separately when I am paying the package charges?
A. Yes, you will have to pay all charges pertaining to your Smart TV subscription separately.

Q 9. Is this package valid if I use it from my Vfone account?
A. Bundled package is currently offered to those customers who are using PTCL Broadband Connection which is available through Landline connection only. So currently this package is not offered to our Vfone customers.

Q 10. Can I make unlimited Local and NWD calls to Vfone numbers as well?
A. Yes all On-Net local/NWD calls made from PTCL to PTCL or PTCL to Vfone are free.

Q 11. Can I activate/deactivate the package more than once a month?
A. You may activate or deactivate the package as many times as you want during the month, however your last request made during the month will be effective from the 1^st of next month

Q 12. Is this package pre-activated on my phone?
A. No this is an opt-in package. To activate this package please call on our helpline 1236.

Q 13. I use PTCL landline but don’t use PTCL’s Broadband can I subscribe to this package?
A. No this package is exclusively offered to PTCL Broadband customers. You may subscribe to PTCL Broadband and take benefit from this package.

Q 14. I have recently got PTCL landline connection at my home and my Broadband connection is under process, can I subscribe for Double Up Unlimited Package?
A. You may activate the package once your landline and broadband connection both are active. You may request our CSR for subscribing to Double Up Unlimited Package however the package will be activated from the 1^st of next month in which your Broadband will be activated.

Q 15. How can I activate or deactivate the package?
A. You can activate or deactivate the package by calling our helpline 1236, where one of our CSRs will guide you further.

Q 16. I frequently dial UAN, UIN and 0900 numbers; will these calls be free under Double Up Unlimited Package?
A. Calls made on UIN, 0900 or any other premium number will be charged as per existing policy. Calls made on UAN will not be charged.

Q 17. What is the breakdown of charges for Double Up Unlimited Package?
A. PTCL has designed this package to give its customers optimum value for their money however Double Up Unlimited Package is a bundled deal so we cannot offer further breakdown of these charges.

Q 18. I subscribed to Double Up Unlimited Package in the middle of the month will I be charged to complete package fee or will I be billed only for those days in which I have used Double Up Unlimited Package?
A. Your billing will begin from the 1^st of next month. For the remaining days, after placing your order you will be charged as per your existing plan.

Q 19. I want to de-activate my Double Up Unlimited Package and want to move back to Student Broadband Package what will be my default package?
A. You will be moving to Basic Plus package. Your Broadband connection will be moved to the same bandwidth for which you had subscribed while using Double Up Unlimited Package.

Q 20. Will my discounted calls be printed once I get my monthly bill?
A. No, discounted calls will not be printed on the monthly bill.

Q 21. How can I get details for the discounted phone calls that I have made by using Double Up Unlimited Package?
A. You can get call details for NWD calls made through Double Up Unlimited Package by visiting your nearest Customer Services Center. However, you won’t be able to get details for local calls.

Q 22. What amount of tax will I need to pay for subscribing to Double Up Unlimited Package?
A. PTCL doesn’t charge you any taxes on your Broadband subscription; however apart from monthly package fee you will be liable to pay an amount of Rs.156 as tax, if you subscribe for 1MB Double Up Unlimited Package and Rs.195 if you subscribe for either 2MB or 4MB. This tax is applied for making Unlimited On-net Local and NWD Calls. Please note that you will be liable to pay other taxes based on Off-net calls, mobile calls, international calls, special facility charges or any other service that you might have subscribed through PTCL
