Q3. How does EVO work?
EVO is a Plug & Play device that lets you stay connected anytime anywhere. All you need to do is to plug it in and the setup is automatically installed on your system and within seconds, you are ready to access a whole new world of high-speed internet connectivity.

Q4. What equipment/device do I need to avail this service?
The EVO wireless broadband is a USB device, sophisticatedly engineered with style and portability in mind; compatible with laptop as well as desktops. The little dongle not only has a class of its own but also redefines versatility and functionality.

Q5. What are the device charges for EVO?
EVO USB modem is available for a price of Rs.3,999.

Q6. How can I check if my computer is compatible?
Evo USB devices are compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista & Mac OS.

Q7. How fast can I go with my EVO Wireless broadband?
Evo Wireless Broadband offers up to 3.1 Mbps downlink and up to 1.8Mbps uplink. Speed is on best effort basis, upto 3.1 Mbps. Speed depends on factors such as modem capability, location, distance from communication tower and number of simultaneous users.

Q8. Is Evo Wireless Broadband network available in my city?
Evo wireless broadband by far has the largest and the fastest growing wireless coverage network, now providing broad band connectivity in virtually the entire Pakistan covering 100 cities Nationwide. Q7. Does PTCL provide Roaming?
Yes EVO can be used when you’re on the move; keeping you connected all the time. Currently EVO offers nationwide roaming in 99 cities, with automatic switching to 1X in non-EVDO coverage areas having 1900 MHZ Vfone network. Which means you can also use internet anywhere in the country where there is Vfone 1900MHz network.
- Please note that in non Evdo coverage areas your internet will be connected on lower speed (153Kbps). PTCL provides a very large coverage area where you can stay connected. *(feature dependent on software settings of Evdo interface)
- Please note that devices purchased from Peshawar would not be on roaming in other cities and vice versa.

Q8. Will I be able get full 3.1 Mbps speed for downlink or 1.8 Mbps for uplink?
Speed is on best effort basis, upto 3.1 Mbps. Speed depends on factors such as modem capability, location, distance from communication tower and number of simultaneous users. Average speeds vary from 300Kbps to 500Kbps for downlink and 200 Kbps to 400Kbps for uplink.

Q9. Can I avail Static IP facility on my EVO connection?
Yes, you can avail static IP facility on your EVO connection by visiting any of our nearest One Stop Shops.

Q10. Can the device be used for memory storage?
Yes, EVO is a sleek and stylish Flash drive which supports Micro SD Memory card. Cards of up to 2 GB are supported.

Q11. In case Evo is not available in my city, what are the other options I have for internet connectivity?
PTCL offers a wide range of options to keep you connected. You can use Vfone Internet (up to 153Kbps), Phone n Net with PTCL landline (Up to 56Kbps) & DSL (1Mbps, 2Mbps, 4 Mbps) for internet at very attractive rates.
